Afrodoctor Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the **Afrodoctor** mobile and web applications and the Hospital Management system, owned and operated by **Health Solutions Ventures (HSV)**. By using Afrodoctor, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, logging in, or otherwise using the Afrodoctor system, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to comply with these Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy of the application.

2. User Accounts and Security

  1. Account Creation: Clients must create an account using their email or telephone contacts and a **strong password**. Backend users will be granted access by HSV as stipulated in Memoranda of Understanding.
  2. Login Requirement: Users must log in for each session to use the service.
  3. Password Reset: Clients who forget their passwords must follow an **identity verification process** before they can reset them.
  4. Accountability: All parties with authorized access are accountable for their actions. Usernames and passwords must be kept secret, and users should **avoid clicking suspicious links**.
  5. Unauthorized Access: Any unauthorized access will be promptly investigated, and **corrective disciplinary and/or technical action** will be taken.

3. Data Management and Privacy

HSV places the highest importance on protecting patient/client health information, ensuring confidentiality, privacy, and integrity. Security and privacy controls are **compliant with Uganda's Data Protection and Privacy Act 2019 and Data Protection and Privacy Regulations, 2020.**

4. Use of Afrodoctor

Afrodoctor enables clients to find needed medical services, products, and personnel; **book appointments** at partner health facilities or make **online medical consultations**; and may purchase needed sexual and reproductive health products at a reasonable fee.

5. Application Development and Operation

HSV aims to build the Afrodoctor system to operate without producing errors, though this cannot be guaranteed. The system is **upgradeable** and aims for **transparency** in process and operation.

6. Community Engagement

Feedback from users will be considered for any necessary changes that need to be made by HSV.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality within Afrodoctor are the **exclusive property of HSV** or its content suppliers and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Users may not reproduce or redistribute content except as permitted through the application's functionality.

8. International Health Data Regulations

While Afrodoctor primarily operates under Uganda's Data Protection laws, HSV strives to adhere to **international best practices** such as GDPR and HIPAA where applicable.

9. Indemnity

Users agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless HSV and its affiliates from any claims arising from violations of these Terms or **unauthorized access due to user negligence.**

This document outlines the guidelines to ensure safe, high-quality, and effective healthcare services through Afrodoctor. Violation of these guidelines carries associated risks for the user.
